upgrade and twitter

Tonight I upgraded the software on my homepage and it went off without any problems. Surprised me completely. And I’m thrilled it happened that way. If you visited the gallery at all today, it wasn’t working quite right. Got that fixed. I’ve also added Twitter to my sidebar. That was a little tricky, but got it worked out.

For those of you that I haven’t introduced to Twitter yet. It is basically a mini-blog (like this site) that is specialized. What you do is answer the question, “What are you doing?”, in 140 characters or less. You can update it from the web, your phone via SMS/TXT messages, chat clients like AIM/MSN/…, or via several programs you can download. Whenever it updates, friends that are following you then know what you are doing. This may seem kinda weird, and it is, but its kinda fun and part of interacting with the web. I like it because I can let my friends know what I’m up to without necessarily having to write a whole blog or chat with them about it. So if you’re curious, join! It won’t kill you to try it out. Make me a friend.

cheers!

So I finally got around to upgrading yesterday and today they released a new version with security fixes. ARRRRRRG!!! Well, I already did the upgrade, but it wasted 20 minutes of a day I’ve barely started. Couldn’t they have waited, I dunno, a week at least! Okay, enough. I’m looking forward to do it again tonight on another site….. NOT!!! [end rant]

Updating is for sissys 😉 JK The twitter thing is pretty cool although it likes to not work now and then… Which leades to some crazy error messages every few seconds if you have it opened… Hopefully it will be resolved soon. 🙂
