This one is really stretching back. This was taken over a year ago while visiting 17 Mile Drive in the Monterey area. I really like the silhouettes of these trees and yes, I did take some liberty with editing this photo. I was just playing around with iPhoto’s features.

Some of you may have noticed me in some of the pictures that were in the slide show of mission trip construction project. I was wearing a cowboy-ish hat and sporting more facial hair than normal. The guy I work with made a bet with me that he would shave his beard if I grew mine out over the Honduras trip. Now this wouldn’t be so significant, but he has not shaved his beard in 23 years. That’s only three less than I’ve been alive. His wife hasn’t even seen him without a beard and has wanted to for some time. So I agreed to do it and so this was the first time ever that I’ve grown a full beard. This photo was taken about a week after I got back and the beard was gone no more than 10 minutes later. This is a picture I took last July in Capitola, CA. This is similar to Shutter Lock, but this time it came out like a multiple exposure. I’m not sure how I got such a clear shot of Sabrina without flash, but awesome accidents happen. I’m putting this up in honor of getting my gallery working like I want it to, finally. Since Sabrina was online to celebrate with me, she gets to make her 3rd appearance on here; twice as the artist and now once as the subject.

Yesterday, a friend and I went snowboarding up at Badger Pass in Yosemite. This was only my fourth time, but I got comfortable enough that I was able to take my camera on a couple runs. I got a few photos and my friend cautiously borrowed it to takes some pictures of me. I, on the other hand, was booking down the hill almost at full speed with my camera bag strapped around my waist and my camera in my right hand. Fortunately, I ride goofy so that was my forward hand. I normally don’t land on that one when falling. At any rate, I took a picture of this tree that I thought looked cool. It was at the top of the hill just outside of the ski area.

Well, I’m headed to Honduras tonight and I’m extremely excited. As soon as this is published, I’m going to lock up my trailer and head to town and meet up with friends. Oh, we get free pizza tonight because one of the local Pizza Factory owners likes what we do. I like pizza, but free pizza? Can’t pass that up!

My batteries and charger came for my camera today! Yeah, I plugged in my battery to charge somewhere and can’t figure out where it was. At any rate, now I have two and a charger that works in the car as well as off the wall. To celebrate, I took a picture of my new REI Nalgene.

It looks cooler larger than that thumbnail… really! I’ve got some other pics ready, so hopefully I get back in the swing of posting them when I get back from Honduras. And yes, hopefully lots of pics from that, too.

I have some some friends that are so artistic. I wish I could just take some of their artistry so I could create cool stuff. I’ve featured one of her poem’s before, now it’s a dusting.

I’ve seen some strange things at campmeeting; but this has got to be the strangest thing I have ever seen.

I guess this may not seem strange to some people, but I’ve never seen anyone drying their briefs by hanging them on a truck mirror, before. Granted, this was before the main event started, but still. It was public!

Well, I’m sick and should get some sleep since I have to start early again tomorrow. I’m going home to Nipomo for the weekend to hang with my sis, Chris, parents and the Yeos. That’s the plan as I know it. Hopefully, I’ll take a little time to write about my campmeeting experiences. It was tiring, exhausting rather, and a unique experience.

While in Yountville, we found this frog/toad resting under travel trailer’s tire. It must have thought it was a good spot to spend the day.

I’ve finally gotten a little not lazy and uploaded a new one. I’m also including one that I never posted about.

That is actually a picture of the tree that a piece of plywood was hanging from that I featured in daily pic #21 - painted.

This is my mystery project. Some people might be able to figure out exactly what is pictured, many won’t. Please post any guesses in the comments, I’m curious what you think.

Ok, here’s the actual #20 that was going to be #19. I’m having trouble inserting the pics into posts, so I gotta figure out what’s up with that. I’m cheating right now to make it work.

This was taken from the Pismo Beach pier. It’s amazing that there are creatures that can live in situations like that. I can’t imagine getting beat on constantly. I guess I’m not built for that.

I was originally going to get all philosophical or something, but I can’t remember what about. So just tell me about what you hang on to and what gives you stability in the rough seas of life.
