Ok, I’ve made a few websites before. I’m a web programmer, that’s what I do. But I’ve never actually made one for myself. For whatever reason, I’ve toyed with the idea and checked for domain name availability several times, but never made the final leap. Well, I’ve done it. I made my very own website at my very own skeemer.net (also skeemer.info and skeemer.org).
Here’s the crazy part. The reason for doing it is that I bought a camera … I’ll just let that hang out there a bit to see if you can figure that one out. Actually, my goal, starting tomorrow, is to find something to take a picture of and post every single day for a month. No exceptions. That may sound crazy, but I spent about $1100 total on the camera and accessories and I think I should get into the habit of using it. I can say no exceptions because I’m really geeky and can hook my laptop up to the internet via my cellphone if I have to. I’m not sure if I will blog every single day, but I will be uploading it to my gallery. I’ll hopefully get it so the picture automagically shows up in the sidebar, as well as a link to the gallery. So that’s why I finally made a website. To force myself to use my camera. How dull, oh well.
